[That sure is... a bit of news. He can't say he's totally comfortable with the notion, but it does explain why Felih is so... familiar, and yet not, and it's not the first he's heard of it anyway. He shifts his weight to the other foot awkwardly.]

I-I see. I would not attempt to replace the Alphinaud you know, as such a thing is hardly fair to either of us, but I do not see any reason we should not get to know one another again. If you do not mind the effort, that is.

[Felih seems enthusiastic, though, in a word. Alphinaud thinks he can make it work.]

They say we cannot return, but I prefer to keep my mind open. Though I've no idea of where to begin I would rather ascertain the situation myself rather than taking the government at their word.

[Alphinaud blinks as Felih pets down some of his hair, and it's followed by a little bit of a blush, which he tries to dispel by glancing away and clearing his throat. Politely, of course.]

Mayhap I will consider that should I find myself in a situation I am not amenable to. [He tilts his head a little.] So you are a Warrior of Light... I had wondered, seeing as I have few close friends outside of the Scions.

[He makes a face at that last part, though.]

Yes- I am among those here called Warriors of Light. It's fascinating, albeit unsettling, to see and meet others who have gone through the same journey I have... but it's fun to hear of the others, and learn what makes us different from each other.

Oh, don't tell me you don't know how to swim, Alphinaud? I can teach you- I am quite skilled. Was born swimming, and all that! Besides, it's such a lovely day, and the water is gentle and warm.
